Kinderorff Classes
The Kinderorff approach is for children 3-5 years of age and starts with rhythm, the basic element of music that is the most natural to children-- that element which they have experienced and felt since birth. We use small group sessions which create the opportunity for children to explore music freely. Young children are ready, able and eager to make vocal sounds, to move, to listen and to play instruments. Kinderorff encompasses traditional musical and cultural values, but in a new setting that permits children to develop in all the areas of basic musical skills: singing, listening, Kodaly improvisation, body rhythms and percussion instruments. We will strive to be that place devoted to excellent beginnings and growth in the world of music.
